Student Enrollment Information
Welcome to Community Prep School. We would be happy to talk to you about the process to enroll at Community Prep School. As Colorado Spring’s first charter school, CPS has served as a school of choice since 1995. CPS’ program is designed to re-energize students’ educational experiences and move them into the adult world as responsible, knowledgeable young adults.
Call or Visit
The first step is up to you! Call or visit the school to set up an Interest Interview!
We are located at 332 East Williamette Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903 or call (719) 227-8836
The second step is the Interest Interview to determine if you and the school are a good fit. Interviews are 15 minutes in length and do not require a appointment. Parents, guardians, and students can stop in Mondays – Fridays from 8:30-5:00 for an interest interview.
Incoming students complete a pre-enrollment candidacy in order to begin as a student.
Orientation is the fourth step in the process. Students complete a one-day orientation and begin classes the next day.
CPS’ school year begins in the second week of July and runs through the last week of May. Students can enter the program at designated times throughout the school year.
- CPS requires 40 specified credits to graduate. Most credits earned from other high schools will transfer to CPS.
- CPS’s core curriculum is aligned with the curriculum at Pikes Peak Community College. Completion of CPS’ academic program enables students to enter community college without the need for remedial coursework.
- All students are required to complete a concurrent enrollment course of their choice as well as 100 hours of employment or volunteer service.
